Location for our purpose, excellent staff, room suitability, food standard.
It would have been helpful to know, at the time of booking, that wedding receptions were taking place on the Sat eve as sleep was essential & the room was noisy.

Checking out
The ensuite facilities were dreadful. The bathroom was tiny, the floor tiles looked like something you would find in a public WC and the sink was cracked. Some of the staff were distant to the point of rudeness and the general cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired.

The receptionists were helpful and kind.
The hotel couldn't find our booking even though I confirmed the reservation by e mail a few days before arrival. We got apparently non smoking room in a smoking corridor. The only non smoking room in the middle of the smoking corridor. The room we got had a bathroom for disable people. The bathroom was in a terrible condition (shower). Even though we used the bathroom as we should (using curtains and shower side walls), it flooded the room, wetting the carpet. Not to mention a pool of water in the entire bathroom. Sunday breakfast service was unprofessional and we found insects in the food. Monday breakfast was ok.

Pos: We had another absolutely wonderful stay at Beechlawn Hotel. the hotel is incredibly clean and the location in peaceful Belfast is fantastic. It's conveniently close to beautiful restaurants, the city of Belfast, and taxi services. the twin room we stayed in had a TV and a comfortable single bed. We were really impressed with the hearty vegetarian breakfast and the staff were excellent.
